I'm not sure this is a valid assumption at all. Things are sexually more out in the open now but as an older guy once told me when we were discussing sexuality in the modern world..."it was happening when I was a kid in 1935...it's just more out in the open now". Women have always turned to other women for emotional support and it's only natural that some women take this emotional support to another level. Look at it this way...if two women are showering together one will wash the other's back...but two men showering together will go out of their way to NOT touch the other guy. Right? My wife, while straight, tells me sex between two women seems natural to her but thinks sex between two men is not. To be sure some women don't like men and prefer women and I see no problem with that. Nor do I see anything wrong with two men loving each other. And on a personal note....wife tells me I got a pretty good handle on knowing what she wants! *hehehe*

Of all dearest, no one "turns" lesbian. You may be real good at hiding it, but if you are truly lesbian, you will eventually admit it and move on with your life.
Second part of the answer, is this: Most women know, or at least are willing to admit what makes them feel "good", therefore, for the most part, they know what makes other women feel "good".
Yes, there are guys who "know", but a good percentage of them (now, I am NOT saying ALL of them) are SO busy with their own ego, they forget that there are 2 people involved. Women, on the other hand know each other, and knows what it takes to make love to another women.
Also, like an earlier person said, it is just more out in the open these days, it has always been around, people just didn't acknowledge the existence of lesbianism.

Well myself, I would say its because guys are getting better at treating women like crap, and so what option do they have left, Enjoy women or go be a Nun I know if I was a female, I would sure as heck enjoy women,, well heck I do enjoy them already,,
