Most any CD burning software will burn CD's that can be played on most players. Nero, RecordNow, etc. will burn CD's from music on your computer. MusicMatch is a good program to convert MP3 to WAV files if you need it. I don't exactly know what you mean by "mix" music onto CD's.

If you're looking to say, mix 'in' the computer using MP3's or CD's, I recommend you use Traktor or Serrato...

Serrato :

1) Install the Serrato software

2) You will need a DJ mixer with basic line in /out & phono in / out

3) Turtables

4) Serrato comes with two vinyls

Basically, what happens is, (i don't quite know how it works) - but when you put the needle on the Serrato record, the MP3 in the software will play--- whatever you do with the record on the turntable, will effect the MP3 (eg - scratch, stop it, play it etc.)

Otherwise, a more BASIC software you can purchase is something like http://www.virtualdj.com/

I'm a traditional records DJ, but MP3 is a much cheaper and perhaps portable way to DJ...

Ofcourse, you can record your mixes to WAV or MP3, then burn it to CD.

Good luck in your mission.
