well what happened was we were just sat down eating breakfast, kippers and egg benedict when all of a sudden, mother had a violent outburst and told me i shouldnt still be a virgin at the age of 28! She said i needed to get out more. Then she went straight to the telephone and phoned her brother who is single. She has arranged for us to go for a meal tomorrow night. Is this normal? I mean i really fancy Uncle Berty its just im thinking maybe hes a bit old for me , i mean theres a 20 year age gap! Any advice? sent

Thats kind of weird just tell her you will find someone.

The age gap really doesn't matter. But the fact that he is your uncle makes it entirely wrong. Your mother needs some serious help. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin at your age. It is best to wait until you are married.

NO this is not normal for your mum to set you up with your uncle.
I personally thought that was almost insest myself. Being a virgin at your age there is nothing wrong with that at all. You sound like a smart lady actually. The way I look at it is when you are ready you will find Mr Right and then when you are ready you will be ready for sex. I know some people who have never had sex and they are my grandfathers age. I feel you mum had NO right to set you up on a date with your uncle. This is my opinion.

There is nothing wrong with waiting for the right guy...You are very young just getting to the time to enjoy being mature and independant.. enjoy life as a single gal...
Yes, it is bad enough that Mom's medle in your personal life and much worst if she wants you to hook up with your uncle...

First off, you mom has no right telling you that you shoudln't be a virgin. I was a virgin until I got married. I wouldn't have your mom set you up. With that big of an age gap I wold have to say to your mom stay out of my business.

Erm i wouldn't be bothered about the age gap too much...its the fact that its your uncle that i would be bothered about if i were you! Just tell your mother that you don't want her help, that you can find a date on your own
