It depends on what you marked when posting it. If you put post now it should only take a couple of minutes to show up when doing a search. Allthough, at times it does take longer if the server is busy.....it could take a few hours to be able to see it in a search.

Depends if you set the item as a "Delayed" listing. If you're doing a straight ebay listing, it should be listed immediately. If you don't see it, check your email for a direct link. If the link doesn't work, contact e-bay.
Try searching for your item by keywords and click on the drop down menu on the right hand side of your screen and change it to "Time: newly listed"
