Las Colinas is a real estate development within the City of Irving. It is a planned community with businesses, apartments and generally upper end houses. There are canals and lakes throughout the huge development. Las Colinas was set apart from Irving because of that town's general reputation as a blue collar community.

Las Colinas is not an actual city. It is the name of an area of Irving, Texas. The other area with a known name is Valley Ranch. Thats where the Cowboys home office is. Everywhere in Irving is considered Irving.

There is an Irving/Los Colinas area around Dallas. There are numerous hotels in the Dallas area with Las Colinas in the name. There is also a resort and club and a polo club called Los Colinas near Dallas. Not sure exactly what you were wanting to know.

It a City North of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolis. Beautiful place. Has the worlds largest Equine (Horse) Statue Display. Also, if you ever watched Walker Texas Ranger much. There a show where Trivet (Not sure of spelling) has this News Reporter and the Camera Lady and they after this guy. Well there a Boat Chase scene at the end. That was filmed in the waterway of Los Colinas.
The name is Spanish for "The Hills" maybe "The Mountains". Someone who know Spanish well may know better.

It's an area in Irving, northeast of DFW airport, but west of Texas Stadium. Lots of restaurants, hotels, corporate offices. A pretty nice area.
