horrible. Imagine, I went from California (cold air) to Florida. And once I got out of the airport, it was like a blanket covered my mouth, I'd never breathed air like that before. But after a few minutes, I got used to it.

It can be pretty bad, especially in the summer. It may not be very hot outside, but the humidty can make it a little uncomfortable.
Depending on where you are from it may not be too bad for you. I don't really mind it, I do prefer a climate more like California when it is hot, but I've never really been bothered by it. Just bring some water, cool clothes, and a fan and you should be fine. You will get used to it pretty quick.

I live in Orlando, so I can assure you this:
It's pretty bad.
The winter months are not as stifiling, but they are undeniably wet. In the summer, however, it's as if a blanket of steam has settled over everything - I always used to joke that it is completely possible to drown just sitting around in Florida. It's not unhealthy though; just a little distracting. Most people adjust in a few days.
Unfortuanately, I humitity prevents a lot of evaporation of sweat, so it always seems hotter in Florida.
