Oh dear what a sad lot of answers no wonder the country is in such a mess and being sold out . I'm English and proud of it and I'm not a BNP supporter or a football hooligan for me its a love of the quiet life , country villages , poetry , wildlife , good books. We are what JRR Tolkien based The Hobbits on we are conservative people in that we like to be left alone to run own homes and bring up our families we prefer small government and hate bureaucracy . We are loyal in the main to certain traditions like Constitutional Monarchy but in the main are patriotism is restrained this can be a weakness which treacherous politicians are taking a advantage of with the sell out to Europe so i think its time for the English to have its say.

There's such a mix. I'm half English half Scot (born in England) but I feel I would have to get dual citizenship if Scotland ever gets independence.

It is milky white skin like Scottish oats in cold milk and Morris dancing where all the guys wear white skirts and jump around in the cold at Stonehenge (thank the Lord for that) - And drinking warm beer in summer and watching the Aussies whip **** at cricket. Preserve that if you must.

It's not at all important, English roots are foreign, British too,

We are a nation or immigrants over 3000 plus years...forget about nationalism....it's racist..
