We often find police force does not respond instantly as we expect in helpless critical condition. In rape cases when police is reported for arresting the culprit, they take time, may be to maintain formalities;but culprit gets chance to escape for this delay. Should n't the police force be more prompt in action?

The police make every effort possible to respond as soon as possible to all violent crimes. One of the biggest problems however is that many people in the community call the police for minor incidents, or perceived incidents, many of which really didn't require police response.

The police don't have that luxury though, so they MUST answer all calls...even the ones where someone is complaining about a barking dog, or a neighbor playing music too loud, & many, many other things of a similar nature.

Too many folk's first impulse is "call the police" , without even considering whether a police response is necessary. Just like with minor traffice incidents where noone is injured. Many will insist the police respond because they have a mistaken belief the police establish who is at fault.

We only have so many officers working at any time . If they are all responding to minor auto accidents & disputes between neighbors it may take longer to respond to the serious crimes when they happen.

The same situation occurs w folks using an ambulance when they could have been transported in a private vehicle.
