in our domestic politics? It seems to me that Howard is way of line when he blasts Barrack Obama. It seems to me that some Aussies want to criticise the US for the Iraq war. That's fine, but shouldn't you take care of your own first? We Americans are trying to deal with our government. Howard needs to stay the hell out of our internal affairs!

Thanks Carrie, but it is completely innapropriate for a foreign leader to involve himself in the internal affairs of the USA.
I fellt the same way when Hugo Chavez came to the US and called Bush el diablo.
How would you feel if Bush criticised one of your political candidates for Prime Minster, even before that candidate was chosen to represent his party in the final election? I don't think you'd like it Carrie.
I hope that you wouldn't approve. Now we're trying to take care of our politicians.
You should do the same with yours.

I appreciate your answer, but you did not answer my question. I believe that the people of the US have a right to make their own decisions without foreign influence.
Your PM needs to concern himself with the internal politics of Australia and stay the hell out of the internal affairs of the US.

Like Obama said: ........we have close to 140,000 troops in Iraq, and my understanding is Mr Howard has deployed 1400, so if he is . . . to fight the good fight in Iraq, I would suggest that he calls up another 20,000 Australians and sends them to Iraq.

I am Australian and no I dont think our Prime Minister should butt out - you guys declared the war and wanted our help, which we have given you so I think we are entitled to have an opinion, we are your ALLIES!

Our Prime Minister is merely pointing out that if the US just walks away from the war before you have a resolution you are leaving things in a worse way for the whole Western world than before.

In regards to troop contribution our population is much smaller than the US so 1400 troops in Iraq needs to be taken in context that and the fact that we are helping you guys - the US actually declared the war remember???

It would be a bad move to pull out of Iraq before IRAQ can look after themselves
It would be a STUPID dangerous move &
I'm a woman & I can even see that
that will not stop them attacking America
it will make the terrorists think they won!
you have to catch all the Terrorists no matter how long it takes
you don't want IRAQ to become a terrorist country?
NO!!! you don't
So the troops have to stay as bad as that is for all the loved ones

I would love nothing more than have Australia pull all interest and support from America. Yes Howard should take care of his own, but Bush has his hand so far up his butt that he is merely a puppet for the Bush propaganda smear campaign.
Don't you guys get it? Howard works for Bush and he will say whatever he is told!

He has a right to his opinion and I respect that, however I have a right to mine and I think he probably should stay out of U.S. politics.
