Why dont we get a tan on our palms!?

People generally do not get tanned on their palms because the skin replenishes itself so frequently. Tattoo artist will also use the palm to practice because the skin sheds faster than the ink can sink in. The same goes for the bottom of your feet.

Melonin in the skin produces skin color/tan. Being in the sun forces skin cells to make melonin and produce a tan. The cells on the palm do not make enough melonin to tan.

well becuase generally our palms are facing down. so the sun never hits it
