In my school, the tutors who are understanding and nice, are the ones who don't know their math or maybe they do know but they confused you even more.

But there is one guy who explained every problem you have very clear But he looks at you, like you suppose to know every math problem and he is annoyed by people asking him as what he calls it "Easy problems". If I know all of the math problems, I wouldn't come to the tutor.

What would you do? Just go to that guy even though he's really annoyed by your questions?

Go to the guy who knows what he's doing. Even though he's a real jerk, if he knows his stuff then he's gonna be able to help you get that A. Try not to let him get to you. Some experts in their field forget that it may be hard for the rest of us "normal" people.

Does your school have extra help in math after school? If so, maybe you should do that instead of having a private tutor since it seems like there's a problem with them at your school. Extra help is offered by teachers so you know you will be given the correct information & they won't talk down to you or make you feel stupid when you ask them a question. If extra help courses aren't offered at your school, then maybe ask one of your friends to tutor you. Do you have any friends who are good at math? If so, then at least you know they won't be rude to you when they are helping you. If you don't have any friends who are good at math OR extra help at your school, then you're just going to have to deal with this tutor who's a jerk & hope for the best. It's more important that you pass your classes than be worried about whether or not the tutor is nice, although it stinks if they're mean. But it's important that you do well in school. So try to stick it out if you can't find anyone else who is willing to help you that is good at math. Or maybe you can try a homework help website such as mathmadeeasy.com. They offer a lot of extra help sites now a days & if your parents are willing to pay for it, they have websites where they can use their credit card to pay for private help online.

You need a tutor who will really explain it to you and who won't get annoyed when you ask a question.

he's a tutor for a reason.

if he's annoyed, that's his problem. he shouldn't be a tutor then.

but definitely go to the tutor that will help you understand what you need to know. don't go to one that's nice, but confusing.

you want good grades when you go to a tutor...not a friend. that's just a nice sidenote.

Id change tutors and tell him why you have to change and thats because hes not a good tutor.
Someone who has no compassion does not need to try and teach another person.

I would go to the one that's helping you learn. Reguardless of their attitude if it's helping you then that's the main thing. Unless his attitude is really affecting you I'd try and brush him off. Don't take it personally. One of my best teachers right now has told me I draw like I'm in grade 3 (I'm in art school) my dinasaurs look like ducks- things like that. Reguardless of his dry 'humor' he has taught me a tonn of things, and my dinasaurs did kind of look like ducks. by the time you finish the math program you might look back and think- wow that was really alot easier then I thought it was.
good luck.

Let him know you really appreciate his help, think he really knows his stuff. However, his impatience is intolerable. Let him know that in order to be a great tutor, he needs to be more understanding.
