What are some good restaurants (Thai, Indian, Italian, French, Middle Eastern, Afghani, etc.) in Boston/Cambridge? Is there also a website where the Boston area restaurants are rated/ reviewed, and maybe even menus are provided?

Would really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

A great place, if you are looking for something off the beaten path, and a bit of a rarity as far as cuisine goes, is Lala Rokh (http://www.lalarokh.com) in Beacon Hill. It's been there for ever and I've never had a bad meal there. The food is Persian, which I'd describe as a cross between middle eastern and Indian. Very good and with a wide range of things to try on the menu.

As for Afghani cuisine, I've heard great things about the Helman, (http://www.helmandrestaurantcambridge.com/) but have yet to venture there myself.

A good site to check out a number of restaurants and their respective menus is http://www.bostonchefs.com

Enjoy - hope this was a help.
