It has definitely been creatively, and not-so-creatively used. What other songs come to mind that get repeated exposure?

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN by LED ZEPPELIN is the most famous and repeated rock song in history. I absolutely love Queen and there would be no Bohemian Rhapsody without Stairway (Freddy M got the song structure from Stairway and used it for Boh Rhap) but none of their songs have been quite used as much as Led Zeppelin songs, especially Stairway....

Stairway to Heaven. Not in movies or sport arena's like Queen but the airtime alone supersedes any other song ever made.

I heard once that the time spent playing this song from every radio station has passed over 50 years. The song's not even that old. Music certainly does have a huge grab on our lives. Especially the music from the 70's.

I think "Muskrat love" by the Captain and Tennile is the all time favorite rock anthem. I think the Rolling Stones and Metallica covered it. At sporting events? Yes. By far. "We Will Rock You" is as ubiquitous at a basketball game as Starbucks is at every mall and city street corner. Good song. I think it was about soccer, though. It is hard to get mud on your face playing basketball. At the risk of sounding chatty, I wanted to thank you for your kind words on my Iraq and a hard place question. Trust me, I am not that wonderful, as my wife will be the first to attest. We do belong to a mutual admiration society, however. I would have picked your answer, but Marianne just had too many puns. Do you and her own a pun checker that works on the same principle as a spell checker?

Yes! It's used a lot just like that "Rock N Roll Part 2" at many sporting events.

I agree that We Will Rock You is the most ubiquitous song ever. Yesterday (which I hate) shows up a lot too.

I totally agree. Another one is Unchained Melody. So many have done remakes of that song! God bless!
