Antivermins is installed by a SmitFraud Trojan. You must remove the Smitfraud to remove antivermins. Here is a Bleeping Computer site with the instructions and program needed to remove it.

Unlike Unix system like Mac OS Snow Leopard or Linux that relies on powerful permissions that even if you download a virus it is totally harmless because it cannot be executed Microsoft Windows offer no such features. In Windows ANYBODY with an administrative account can install software, remove apps, actually delete other profiles that is very convienient but security is mediocre. Any virus or spyware adware malware that comes from the Internet is automatically executed with some or no warnings and will actually tamper with your registry. UNLESS the antivirus immediately delete or quarantine the virus little can be done and EVEN if you removed virus it would most possibly still be active as your registry have been damage. There is LITTLE option but to REINSTALL Windows. Once day you may consider a mac or linux for better security and virus free environment RICK

If you are using Win Xp try and use the system restore tool in your system tool tray. Rolling your computer back to where it ran fine could help this problem. Also go on the Internet and look up how to get rid of the exact name of the virus. I've done this a few times and was successful on both. Most importantly make sure your firewall and virus protection have the most current updates and are turned on. This virus could have disabled them as well. See ya!

You do not have a virus on your computer, but you do have some malicious spyware. Antivermin is just one of them. Download and install spynomore and run it. It wil find all of the stuff that goes with antivermin. Then keep it updated and run it frequently.

boot up your box in safe mode and remove all related to the spyware. including search the registry. In normal mode, the virus is in RAM hence you can't totally remove it.

That's a virus for sure. Use an anti-virus software if you have one.
