I'm assuming you like him because you want to give him something on Valentine's day. So I think you should MAKE a card or write a note and tape it to some chocolate (not expensive chocolates because that might be awkward). This won't be too clingy of a thing, but it will be nice and caring and he will understand what you are trying to say. Oh, and don't put the word love in your note, it may scare him awayyy!

If you like him like him, be creative. Don't buy him anything, set up a picinic at the park w/ valentine desserts and aphrodisiacs like chocolate and sea food. Put it all on a red picinic blanket.

If he's into music and has an iPod, get him an iTunes gift card. If he's into video games get him a best-buy gift card. I don't think you can go wrong there.

if hes into sports, get him something with his favorite team. favorite music-burn him a cd or buy one or get something with his favorite artist on it. Cologne always works. get him a bag of his favorite candy. these all work well..
