John Williams is a classical guitarist . . .
But if you're looking for his CD's etc. they'd be found in New Age or Ambience or Easy Listening (Instrumental) section.

that would be subjective, but i would say pop/schmaltz, if that's a category. maybe soundtrack/pop/progressive schmaltz.
