most times you can... and sometimes like with the cell phone they charge an early termination fee..usually $200.00... i would make sure that in the divorce all those details are handled..like you paying $100.00 and have her pay $100.00... half and half!! good luck, divorce is always not easy for anyone.

For the most part, those types of things are contractual obligations and must be met. If you are getting a divorce, the most sensible thing to do is that whomever gets the dish service continues to pay and the cell phone family plan would be split down the middle. Good luck.

Sounds like you have contract w/tv, phone where you have to keep them for a certain amount of time, there is no easy way to get out of those agreements w/ the companies. Use them, or let your family enjoy them...the divorce overall will cost a lot more than those nickels and dimes.

You have to call customer service. Some of the time they waive early termination fees for reasons such as divorce, death, or military. It all depends on the company and person you talk to. If they're not helpful, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Usually the other party max out everything so there is nothing left. Then both parties get lawyers and there isn't anything left to fight over. After that the two get back together and fight the rest of their lifes about their bad credit.

whoever has a name on that phone services or dish services has to pay before cancelling the services, and devorce has no bearing on your responsibility to pay the incoming bills, but bring it up to the judge once you have your devorce case heard so that the judge will make a deal between parties involve
