Not a damn thing because he was too busy inventing the Internet.
He didn't invent the global warming until he lost the presidency and thus his freaking mind. He doesn't do well without public controversy.

He's been advocating on the issue since he was a congressman. The fact that you didn't notice a reversal of the phenomenon is due to the fact that a single person can't fix global warming (no quotes necessary) by himself.
History is replete with issues that take time to build critical mass of awareness before decisive and correct action can be taken. You think LBJ woke up one morning in 1964 and decided it would be a good day to sign the Civil Rights Act? It took a whole lot of deaths and exposing of a nasty national underbelly to get there, you know.
Rather than obsessing over your dislike of Al Gore, why don't you try educating yourself about global warming, including the fact that the data is testable and irrefutable.

Al Gore has been an environmentalist for as long as I can remember. He was in office when many EPA reforms were passed. I myself do not agree with global warming nor some of what Al Gore does, but that does not take away from what he has done in the past nor detract that I think he genuinely believes in global warming himself. I will bash him on his 10000 square foot masion because I can, but the truth is he has done a lot on environmental issues (it wasn't global warming untill recently really).

At least he didn't cover it up and force the EPA to delete data showing strong evidence of it like the Bush Administration did. Not to mention other Scientific studies they hid from the American people because they didn't support the Republican ideology.
