Yes, absolutely, a George Lucas production - originally known as Howard the Duck, but now it is more commonly known as Howard - A New Breed of Hero
Also starred Lea Thompson (Of Back To The Future fame), and who can forget The mad scientist - Edward Rooney (headmaster of super cool Ferris buellers day off), the effects were not bad for it's age, and yes the stoy was ridiculous, but good fun all the same, worth watching once, despite other reviews. I've seen a lot worse. SD (superdaz, not scooby doo)

Wasnt that bad when i saw it back in the 80's but can only recall bits and pieces of Howard looking at the centerfold of a duck in a magazine and the feathers on his head stood.

Wasn't that the film that consigned George Lucas to the looney pile for a while? Saw the end over Xmas (I say saw - watched would be too strong a word) looked like a big pile of ****. My four and six year old were bemused. The Star Wars obsessed six year old devastated when he found out who directed it. His first lesson in adult fallibility...

Not only saw it, but was part of the test audience before it was released. I knew the comic and was intrigued by the thought of a film version, but after about fifteen minutes or so during the screening, I told the researchers that it was terrible and would bomb.

Yes. I would gladly take back that hour and a half of my life back from that if I could.
Th 80s was a great decade for brilliant and bomb movies. This was certainly a bomb!

Yeah its a movie of a humanoid duck thing that comes to our planet and gets in a lot of trouble....its kinda dumb but its fun to watch if your bored.
