lol, no you have to get past the thought that skinny means thin and that its actually referring to just skin. but maybe you shouldnt tell people that, tell them that ....
a long time ago, people thought that the best-looking naked people were thin, so they decided that the thin people would swim naked and everyone else would be required to cover up with swimwear. ...
.....and thats why its called skinny dipping:)

Certainly a good theory, but I think it is because they are down to their skin, which is where skinny dip comes from.

Well they call it that because it is skinny people that mostly do it...for bigger people it is called chunky dunking!
