Arenas just made a fool of himself. He didn't accomplish anything but he talked in front of everybody like he was the best. His defense was bad compared with other guards. His shooting percentage is low.

In my opinion Areans had this humiliation coming. He always uses anger as a way to motivate himself and holds grudges. He does play to win, he pplays to show everyone that they were wrong about him.
And you can't go arounding saying ur going to drop 50 on a team, then go out and jack up 15 shots (0 -8 from 3pt), hit 3 and have people respect you.
So Gilbert was hummiliated and looks stupid, but he is still far from a joke. If you want to see a joke play watch Scott Pollard

Gilbert Arenas couldn't have been more confident before the game that he would of scored 50 against the likes of Portland. He did humiliate himself in a way, but did not lose any respect from me. He is still an amazing player, but should learn to keep comments liek that to himself rather than to publisize them.

Nahh. Not of the year. But for the day maybe. I think it's just funny how he uses his grudges to motivate his game. But that was not a good look on his part! Kinda selfish maybe because even if he did put up 50 that doesn't guarantee a win which should be his first priority.

No. He is one of the best defensive and shooting guards in the league. You obviously must be talking about someone other than THE Gilbert Arenas... maybe his brother or something, I hope? If you are talking about Gil then you are nuts. In his blog he even admits he isn't as good as Kobe among others! Gilbert Arenas is a flipping beast!

No, but he makes whoever's defending him look like a joke with his league second best 29 points a game.
