Start by choosing a print in black and another color for your top or bottom. Don't pick a print that is large in scale.
Spring is coming so experiment with prints to go with black that you have now. Hopefully you'll make other choices and add color to your wardrobe! I like to watch "What Not to Wear" on TLC for ideas.

Someone said become a nudist. I don't agree with that, but taking a good look at yourself nude in the mirror is a good way to become comfortable with your body. At first you might only see a fat lady but eventually you will begin to see yourself more realistically. You have some attractive and some not so attractive features. Start emphasizing the attractive ones. For example, if you feel your hips are too wide, then wear the dark colors on the bottom and brighten up your beautiful bustline.

Wise man say,,,
On the planet plarrb where I come from all the fat and ugly plabets (female plarrbian) went to the nearest hypo jumper station and got off at the nearest weight watchers group. Now even though W Ws are banned on our planet there is a small percentage of plarrbians who revoke and end up being sent to a prison ship in the colium region, which is great news for me as I pilot a shuttle in that very region.
I hope that the information that I have supplied is of the greatest expense to you and wish you a very happy plareniotus. ooo.

Why dont you start with wearing patterned tops containing a minimum amount of black so you get used to that extra bit of colour and then work from there? Theres loads of psychadelic type tops in fashion @ the mo, which have a flattering cut and the patterns minimise the larger person.

Because you have worn a block colour for a long time, a bright colour may seem far out on you. So, the best way to break out of black and start introducing colour, is simply adding colour to your accessories at first, such as bright coloured belt or bag.
Your in the right season for changing, as fashion trends are domainated by black set background with vibrant coloured prints on top, so next time purchasing a top consider a print of such to break the cycle.
I have added some examples of how to play with a look...
Example one - is of a black shine top with emphasis gold belt...

Example two - this purse shows how patterns such as delicate floral look, can look great on a set black background.

Example three - Prints like this shift dress, show that you can keep the black colour theme running through ...http://www.principles.co.uk/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=3811

I wear alot of black too. I add colour by my accessories, such as scarf, handbags, shoes ,Cami tops, jackets, coats. I find fussy colours can be great with plain black trousers or skirt. Try camouflage colours, like leopard or zebra print blouse, or tops with slashes of colours, lighter colour from the breasts up and darker colour below. Anything with lines going downwards, blue and white stripe the nautical look. Try navy and very dark greys. Good luck.

black is so not a positive color and on women ur size (sorry if that sounds rude...its not mean to be) it jus makes other peeps see a women thats not happy with herself and hasnt got alot of positive energy and self esteem. you need to add xtra colours in ur wardrobe... and im not saying to look like a rainbow but start off with like greys and stuff and then go onto adding some pink, purple or even orange and red to ur outfits either in jewellery or cardigans or tops... for the trousers stick with black for the time being. and maybe try to exercise a little or go on a healty diet. i know ur not asking for sulotions for loosing weight but with some pounds lost and a new wardrobe positive energy , confidence and boosted self esteem will shine from you!!!! have fun and !enjoy life.

Someone i work with is the same and it does nothing for her. She has recently started wearing neutral shade tops, and has died her black hair a lighter shade. The change has been very subtle but she looks a hell of a lot different, and a hell of a lot better!
