So im chatting this other mother, last night, then she tells me " I kinda want to take you under my wing" What exactly does that mean?

So after the woman made the comment "I kinda want to take you under my wing", you should've used that time as an opportunity to ask her exactly what she means in saying that. I would think she means she wants to be like either a mentor or a surrogate mother for you, and show you and tell you alot of what she knows and trusts you have the ability to use later on down the line.

Whenever chickens are threatened, the mother hen spreads her wings and the chicks run in under it for safety and shelter. The person who said it to you is telling you that she will look after you and keep you safe, or conversely train you to do the job and 'show you the ropes'. She will train you and protect you.....
