Find yourself a toy car, a smooth wooden board, a ruler, a protractor, and a stop watch.
Position the board at a 30 degree angle (use the protractor for this) from the floor and place the car at the top of the board. Time how long it takes for the car to go down the board. Do this a few times and take an average.
Increase the angle to 45 degrees and repeat.
Increase the angle to 60 degrees and repeat.
Is there a pattern?
Now do the same, except use the ruler and start not at the top of the board, but halfway up. Do this at 30 degrees, 45 degrees, and 60 degrees.
Is there a pattern?
Is there a relationship between 30 degrees on the whole board versus 30 degrees and half the board?
Good luck.
