Getting started is usually the hardest part. Once you're involved in doing the work, it becomes much easier.

If you are referring to a written assignment, start by reading up on the subject you need to write about (or on how to write the paper in the proper format).

If you are referring to making or fixing something, again read up on how to do it first

First, I define the objective of the project. Secondly, I develop the steps needed to obtain the necessary portions of the objective. A time line is then developed that defines the portions and the times that each should be completed.

I always end up doing anything important (something for school, for example) last minute. I'll put a sticky note or something up in my room to remind me of when it has to be done.

When I have an art project in mind I'll wait until about 3am to do it. Everyone's asleep, and the solitude helps me think creatively.
