When you say circulated, do you mean the same water is run through some system so that it is constantly flowing? Some contained circulations involve a cleaning mechanism like dialysis, which is why I'm asking. Only organic material can "go bad." Water is inorganic. If there are contaminants in water, and the water is sealed in a container, anaerobic organisms may possibly make the water "go bad."

i dont think so cos a fish tank is circulated and it doesnt go stagnant you wouldnt want to drink it tho lol
