talk to someone
my best friend was suffering from depression for a long time before she mentioned or talked to anyone about it.
she was able to find out what was making her depressed and overcame it with some help.
& go out and have some fun! and forget everything that might be going wrong in your life. it wont cure it, but itll make you feel better for a bit.

I know this is something that your parents might say, but they're probably right.

Emile Durkheim's sociological study of suicide concluded that, for example, Protestants are more likely to commit suicide than Catholics and bachelors are more likely to commit suicide than married men. Both of these results, he concluded, are because of the strength of social ties- in other words, the stronger social ties you have, the happier you are. I know that a lot of people might say you should take some time out for yourself, but you should consider joining a social group of some kind. I lost a pretty important girl in my life within the last month or so, and it hurt me a lot, and I am happier than ever by spending a lot of time with several social orginizations on my campus.

Hope it helps
Hope you gett better

Get out into the fresh air and run it off.
Play cheerful music that I like
Write (writing about anything can be very therapeutic)
Keep myself too busy to think about what's bothering me
Talk to friends and relatives (about anything)

What we are not supposed to do is stay in the house and mope around. That will only make things worse. Find a new hobby or take a class of interest--you might meet people who share your interests there.
