One female name I really hate is when somebody else uses mine.
My first name is so beautiful, so original and unique, everybody who hears it for the first time always tell me how beautiful it is. I say my name and automatically they're like "this is such a beautiful name". I will not say what it is here because if I would, everybody would give it to their "in the future born" little girl. All my life, I met only two women with my name and each time I felt like they had no right to use my name because it is my name and nobody else.
I am always afraid that somebody would become famous with my name and then everybody would name their little girl like that and in 20 years, I will be surrounded by people with my name.
So my name is the one female name I hate in other people because it is MINE, MINE I tell you.
As for male names, I usually hate the ones associated with people who did me wrong in the past. Isn't it sad to know that sometimes you do not like somebody just because that person reminds you of somebody else that you did not like? It is the same for name: if an Arthur did you wrong in the past, any Arthur you meet in the future will have that bad aura around him.
So really, I hate the name Ian, because the two I met in my life were really jerks. I am sorry about the third one who I may meet in the future: as soon as I will meet that guy, my mind will be made up...

No offense to anyone with these names:
Olga- I just think it's kind of ugly
Also men named Richard who go by Dick for short...I will never understand why someone would call themselves that. I understand that might not have been the term used when they were born/named, but by god when it became a popular name for a penis, I would have changed my name!!

Female-any name that was a mans name and became a womans name, like Josephine-EW! because they aren't womens names.
Male-It has to be names like sean/shawn, that can be for a girl or a boy.

Gayle for a female sounds "ugly".
Also Gene for a male sounds "nerdy".
