A TAB is a peice of music that has been arranged using numbers representing the placement of finger position on the string. It takes a bit of getting used to and i suggest finding simple, no thrills attached peices to start and you'll pick it up in no time.

Tabulature is a simple way of showing guitar chords etc for the non sight reader.

Its one of those things sticking out at each side of your head.They are very hard to understand but useful for listening.
