what plants would be good to use for DNA extraction?

I much prefer bananas and peas to onions. When you blend the onion and saltwater solution you'll never get that smell out of your blender. Bananas and peas have just as much DNA, and it smells a whole lot better.

Some people use strawberries too. Makes me long for daquiris though....
