Any way I could get a picture? I'm ignorant when it comes to cars

As both above have already posted, follow your upper rad hose to the housing at the back of the cylinder head, near the coilpack. On a 2.0L SPI engine, the housing is aluminum. On a 2.0L Zetec, the housing is made out of plastic (which have a tendency to crack and leak coolant). Hope this helps.

First, the Focus has been the best selling car in the WORLD. Upon it's introduction, it was Car of the year in 7 European countries. The following year, Car of the year in North America. A shock to all the foreign car owners! That means there are a lot of them. Secondly, there are priced relatively low when new. After 7-9 years, everything has depreciated. Remember, the Model T was really cheap for the times & there were millions on the road. As with anything used & that old, have it checked out mechanically.

follow your top radiator hose, where it hooks to the engine is the thermostat.
