It all depends where they want to marry? If they are interested in getting married in India she has to wait till he is 21years as any Indian can marry any foreigner only under the Foreign Marriage Act, 1969 wherein the bridegroom has to be at least 21years old. But if they are getting married in USA then whatever the US law states will be applicable to them, if their matrimonial law allows an American to marry a foreigner where bridegroom should be 16years then she can get married to him.

well not really any one can get married at 18 and up but needs to have someone there to attend the wedding to say they are really married now 16 then wow.
your friend in 19 and shes indian. its normal because indian tradition is to be married before 21. but for a 19 and a 16 that will be considered rape. but if parents approve and the kids love each other they have a right to get married just not here!!

No. They cannot legally get married. Firstly one has to be an adult which is 18 yrs. In India, the boy should be 21 yrs. They will have to wait.

She can go to jail. Boy is under 18. She should wait for 2 more years unless she likes the jail also.

This is so sad... Part of me says, "No don't say anything to his wife" BUT at same time you never know what kind of disease your friend or this guy (I'm sure your friend isn't the first girl he ever slept with behind his wife) is spreading.. Does that make sense? I would just do what your heat tells you to do. This is a tough question!

It is against the law.Boy is not adult yet.If your friend is so desperate for American men I have few American friends 40-45 years old,she can marry one of them.

are you kidding me why are they rushing into something so big. wait until the boy is at least 21 come on he is stilll a kid. and im not sure about that law i believe you have to be 18 in the U.S. cause that when your considered an adult...

Only if his parents APPROVE it can a boy that young marry.
Is she trying for citizenship? Because it does NOT work like that!
That is a really dubious situation....
