I'd like to use the ability Windows has to share files, but I do not know how to configure it.

I have a Linksys WRT54G which support file sharing between PCs, from what I understand.... again, don't know exactly how to set it up, and google searches have been unfriendly.

I do not want to burn multiple CDs.

I don't want to rely on a flash drive, as some of these files, like my music file, are multiple gigabytes EACH when compressed.

Anyone have good suggestions here? File transfer between pc using Ethernet cable or USB cable, maybe? And how's it work if I do that?

If you have a WRT54G, I fail to see the problem. Just put each computer into the workgroup with a different name. You can do that in CONTROL PANEL | SYSTEM | SETINGS. Now, hook them both up to the router via a cable. Next, share the drive on which the data now resides so that the other computer can find it. Now, just MAP the shared drive to the second computer. You do that in Windows Explorer | TOOLS MAP . . .

Once you have mapped it, treat it like any drive on your computer. Go to it in Windows Explorer, and navigate to the files and COPY and PASTE them from one machine to another.

Go to linksys.com. Click downloads and download Linksys Easy Advisor. It will help you to set up a network with your two computers. You will then be able to just drag and drop files.
