I just recently bought both of Trudeau's books. In them he gives the following weight loss secrets:
1. Eat breakfast - include meats (unprocessed organic beef, lamb, chicken); fish (wild salmon, sardines, tuna); fresh, organic fruits (grapefruit, apple, pear, strawberry, blueberry, plum, peaches, apricots)
2. Eat foods that give you a high metabolism; i.e. organic and unprocessed.
He also says that most fat people have a low metabolism (underactive thyroid, poorly functioning pancreas, clogged and sluggish liver, and digestive system); eat when they are not hungr; have a large appetite; hormonal imbalances; eat larger portions than thin people; consume more diet food; are highly toxic; eat before bed; are affected by growth hormone in meat and dairy products; and, see themselves as fat.
He says the dirty little secret the food industry doesn't want you to know is that they run on the profit motive and benefit by you eating more and making foods cheaper including genetic engineering and spraying chemical poisons on foods so crops aren't damaged by disease, bugs, etc. And, that they lobby against the national campaign to "eat less, exercise more".
To turn your body into a fat burning furnace and bring weight to its natural state he lists 32 steps.
1. Drink a glass of water immediately upon arising
2. Eat a big breakfast
3. Drink eight glasses of distilled water each day
4. Walk for at least one hour, non-stop, each day
5. Do not eat after 6:00pm
6. Do a candida cleanse
7. Do a colon cleanse
8. Consume 100% virgin and unrefined coconut oil
9. Use infrared saunas
10. Eat organic grapefruits all day
11. Absolutely no aspartame or any artificial sweeteners
12. Absolutely no MSG
13. Take digestive enzymes
14. Absolutely no diet sodas or diet food
15. No fast food or chain restaurants
16. No high fructose corn syrup
17. No white sugar or white flour
18. Eat organic apples all day
19. Eat only organic meat, poultry and fish
20. Limit dairy products
21. Do a liver cleanse
22. Eat a big huge salad at lunch and dinner
23. Rebound (mini-trampoline)
24. Add hot peppers
25. Use organic apple cider vinegar
26. Breathe, oxygen burns fat
27. Wear magnetic finger rings
28. Get 15 colonics in 30 days
29. Add muscle
30. Fast
31. Cheat whenever you want...don't deprive yourself

I bought the book and I read it. Obviously eating crap and not exercising are the two biggest things people do to gain and keep weight. He stresses the importance of eating organic foods and walking every day. Obviously more exercise will only help the cause. I have been practicing the apple cider vinegar before every meal and it was working great but then, I couldnt drink it anymore. It doesn't taste that great. So I bought the tablets instead... they don't work as good as the real stuff, but thats to be expected. And I bought the digestive enzymes. The benefit of these two items is it will eliminate any indigestion you may have as well.
I'm so glad to find people who believe in this stuff. I got a lot of flack from other people for "buying into" the natural remedies.
