I need help! I've got to write an analytical research paper on love songs! I've been able to do a lot of lyrical-based research but I need factual research too. My sub-topic is why they are and have been so popular. Can anyone help me???

Music indeed does soothe our savage beasts. It's well been debated that music can seep into our innermost emotional controls and successfully allow us to think and feel just as the composer and music artist(s) sought to get from us.

In the case of love songs, we're faced with romantic poetry AND music--two very strong elements that approach our social controls. And have the most macho wanting to romance the person of their interest.

Love songs also carry on-target expressions of how we feel towards someone in ways we find hard of ourselves to make efforts and express; very much like a greeting card--only music carries a little more octane we hope levies in our favor.....and historically in our pop culture, love song music DOES seem to enjoy it's successes of maintaining marriages.....and growing larger family trees.

You've got to be kidding?? If you aren't romantically attached, talk to someone who REALLY is!! Sub-topic, my butt! Get with the program. Love makes the world go around, sweetheart(I assume you're female). I'm 62 yrs oldI(male) and have been married for almost 43 yrs(yeah, I was young) and she's still the greatest to me. What a babe! Maybe you should ask older people. No offense, but experience ROCKS!! Even though today's music is CRAP TO THE LIKES OF ME, a love song is a love song. I f the words say it, that's all that matters. Hope I've helped.
