Don't mean to be disrespectful, but I can't imagine it would be easy to take your mind off it.

I never said the men were disgusting or perverts.

I don't think it would be hard at all. Guys who have jobs that most people consider "unsavory" in some way learn how to avoid talking about it any more than necessary, and also learn how to keep smells and stains and other reminders from bothering their family. Since lots and lots of jobs might be considered unsavory, let me put this to you: would Mother Nature approve of discouraging women to love and marry men who perform such necessary services? Would she rather say, how wonderful that some men (and women) have strong stomachs and can do the jobs the rest of us imagine would be disgusting. It's not disgusting to them because it is their job, or they get out of the business.

When My Steve committed suicide, I learned about people known as Crime Scene Cleaners, Inc. These are the strong stomach specialists. Steven shot himself through the head. Yes, these Strong Stomach Specialists were worth every penny of the $450 I paid them to clean up after this, at a time when it was nightmares and horror for days on end for me.

People with strong stomachs are to be respected, not shunned.

And as to gynecologists, I believe they are all Goddess-worshipers, but I'm not convinced they all know it.

It's very easy to take your mind off of it. It's what they do, but it's not WHO they are! Even celebrities are real people, with real lives other than what they live at work. It's unfortunate that some people can't get beyond that.
A heart surgeon opens peoples chests up all day, and although it may be gruesome to some, it's a service. It's a job. But, at the end of the day, he/she is still a loving, funny individual that shouldn't only be looked at for what they do.

My sister's husband used to run a dairy herd, and i've seen him with his arm up to the elbow in a cow's behind..... so what, he was just doing his job. It just a job isnt it? We all do things like that where we 'switch hats'...... for example if your husband/wife had a problem with their bum/boob or whatever you would look at it and try and help, and then, another time, it would be looked at in another way cos you are having a horny time.

Having said all that I wouldnt particularly want to be married to an undertaker.

I would feel weird to be married to a gyno; not so much a undertake cuz the people are dead. But a gyno hubby looking "there" all day i'd be self consious. They are professionals though so....i'd be just happy to be married to a professional!

i wonder if a gyno even enjoys his wife. I would think they would be so tired of looking at it they wouldn't even enjoy it anymore. Or the other way around, do they get attracted to any of the women they are looking at? Who knows but always a wierd thing.

I work at a funeral home, and believe me it can be very much like any other job. My kids, and anyone else doesn't treat me any different. Of course it may help that my husband works in a cemetery!!

it's a job, not a person. the same could be said for all sorts of professions.... Defence lawyers, pathologists, vets (when they do internals on cows etc). If you love them you see past the job
