Ive got an ethernet cable. At the moment i am connecting to live by taking out the ethernet cable for the internet and puting in the 360 one into the back of the modem. AND to connect to my computer i have to put the ethernet cable into the back of the computer to stream music etc. Is there an easier way to do this only using the ethernet cable and maybe a couple of other things but not changing to wireless?

Thanks

Router. Go ahead and get a wireless router - they come with 4 wired ports on the back where ethernet cable can be inserted. Just disable the wireless interface so no one hacks your broadband service.

i you can do it both wired and wireless. We have a netgear DG834 version 2 wireless modem router. We have 1 pc wired to it and xbox 360 wired to it as well. That is in the dining room. In the living room we have wireless laptop and another 360 connected to the router wirelessly via a belkin gaming adapter. All work fine although the gaming adapter was a bit difficult to configure, but maybe thats cos its belkin. Ignore the other comment about turning wireless off. You can only hack someones internet if you are allowed on their router which means they need to hack your router, which is possible of course. By the way both 360's can connect to xbox live at the same time with no problems and we can system link them as well. If your going to buy a router I would definitely recommend Netgear. Just look at some of the review sites, you don't have to take my word for it. Have fun
