Why Americans you don't like soccer as all the other countries of the world like it ?

How can't you understant the magic and the beauty of this sport ?

Do you really think that US football , hockey and base-ball are as nice as real genuine football ?

To KNOWITALL : So you really think you know it all ? Why such an arrogance ?
Soccer is the most marvellous sport of the universe, it's not boring, it's like a movie, it's my life, my passion, my everything.
Have you ever tried to play 5 min soccer football ? You can't imagine how difficult it is to run during 90 minutes, defending your zone against other players who are trying to shoot the ball , it's a real pleasure, like an extasy. You should do it at least one in your life, and then you could understand.
If your cable TV network can broadcast the European Champion's League, watch Chelsea, Arsenal,Barcelona, Milan AC4S games, and you will at last see what a real entertainement is. The genius of Ronaldinho will make you forget your boring superbowl (in Europe, we don't need Janet Jackson's breast to stay awake !)

To KNOWITALL : No problem, my friend. You are right concerning the arrogance of some Europeans, I think there is some arrogance in both coasts of the Atlantic Ocean, actually. I know that there are many Europeans who are very angry towards Americans, but thanks God we are not all the same ( I think it's actually only a question of education, and there are unfortunately uneducated people everywhere in the world ).
Please don't think that all Europeans are silly. And myself I also know that all Americans are not silly.

I love soccer. I feel like there are a great deal of American's who truly love and appreciate the sport and aren't arrogant with their views on other sports at all.

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri which is a hotbed for youth competitive soccer. However, it's also one of the greatest baseball cities in the USA. I must say, baseball/softball are my true passion. Baseball is our national pastime and contains a lot of pride and history for Americans. However, I love the sport of soccer as well.

From my perspective, I do believe baseball is equally as nice as real, genuine football. I respect the fact that the rest of the world feels soccer is the most beautiful game. I regret the fact that many people regard Americans as arrogant with their sports. America does love the NFL and baseball - it's in our culture. I hope that people who disagree on opinions and live in different cultures can appreciate the other's view and just that because it's different, doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong or bad.

I do. Although i like soccer, i'd rather watch football and hockey because of the hitting and baseball for the strategy. I guess i dont know much about soccer though.

we're the only ones smart enough to realize how boring and stupid it is, we're pretty proud of that. and yes, we really think football is much better than soccer. we also think NASCAR is much better than F1.

ok, well spoken. sorry for the arrogance, i'm just used to answering questions from europeans who hate americans with a passion and use yahoo answers to spread their anti-american propaganda. i'll still never be a soccer fan, and soccer will still never be popular here as a spectator sport, but i respect your opinion, you did a good job of getting your point across without spewing hate toward my country like so many other people on here do.
