I'm sure my house is haunted and I really want to contact the spirit. At night sometimes I hear random footsteps when no one else is home. My dogs have also been acting really strange lately as well. (I know it isn't them making the footsteps though because when I hear it they're right by me.) I haven't actually seen the spirit, but I know it's there, and I'm pretty sure it's not angry or hurt. I really want to help it if I can, but I don't want to do anything stupid and get hurt and/or hurt/anger the spirit. Do ouiji (sp) boards work? If they do, how do you use them? Please answer, I really want to help the spirit! I also want my family and friends to see it if possible because no one believes me when I tell them about it, but if it isn't possible then that's fine- anything to help the spirit!

Hey, thanks so much for the responses! I'm going to try the recorder way of contacting the ghost. If anyone has any tips or anymore ideas though, keep posting them! Just saying thanks!

i definately wouldnt use a ouija board, you may end up with a spirit you cant handle. try using a recorder and asking simple questions that dont require big answers and see what you pickup usually if they know your sincere and you dont mean any harm, they will respond.

Try using a voice recorder. Turn it on record and talk to the ghost. Ask it questions like, who are you and why are you here? Also, try leaving the recorder on when you aren't home. You may hear some interesting stuff. Voice recorders can pick up noise we can't hear. They are called (EVP) or electronic voice phenomenon. Rewind the tape and listen very closely for someone talking. Don't let it freak you out if you get a response. It hasn't tried to hurt you before so I am sure you will be fine as long as you don't tell it to get out of your house. Try checking out the atlantic paranormal society on line. Check out the link for EVPs. It is pretty interesting. And don't let people tell you it is all in your imagination. Only you know what you have experienced and heard. Good luck.

Ouija boards are a bit dangerous. I believe in the super natural. If you want. I can go find what I have on this. You can just email me. Otherwise I can hunt this question down and put what I have. I do know the seance is a good idea, but you have to be careful there. too many scam artists.
