The answer is obvious. Try on different things and see what works. Consider every combination, no matter how ludicrous you think it is. It is vital that it fits right.

Self-confidence does more for attractiveness than clothes do. You could also try wearing what makes you comfortable of feel powerful.

I'm not sure if I have my own style.. but alot of people like my clothes and everything else pretty much and I guess you could say I have my own style..
this is what I do:
-shop for clothes, accesorries, makeup and shoes at all kinds of different stores to find things that you like and that you'll wear! that way you get alot of different styles of clothing and different colors so you can mix-and-match
-dont buy alot of clothes that are REALLY instyle at the moment because when something else comes instyle and that goes out you wont want to wear it anymore and alot of people usually have clothes in that style of the moment too so it wont be YOURS.
-look in magazines and shop online where you can find a whole world of different things
-even by wearing the clothes you have now you can mix with other clothes and layer, layering is really big right now! and remember the colors dont have to match perfectly but just dont let them clash by wearing like a teal blue and lime green and bright orange colors together.

I hope this helped you! GOOD LUCK ! =]

Learn to sew. The you can have anything you want. That's what I do. I have a distinctive style which is good for me and my shape. I don't have to let someone half a world away, who's never even met me, decide what I'm going to wear this year.

I got my own style by going with what I enjoyed wearing. I love color and life and free-flowing motion in my clothing. Of course, I readily comply with the dress codes for different functions at work, but always within my own style.

My advice would be to go with what you like and let the magazines with all their pictures go hang. You don't need to look like anyone but yourself. Go haunt thrift shops and try on clothes in a whole bunch of different styles and see what you like. If you like modern jeans with a vintage top, wear it. If you like vintage jeans or skirts with a modern top, so be it. So what, really. If you like a fun mix of everything, wear it. Who knows? Your "personal style" may simply be eclectic (a little of everything all mixed together.) If your style seems confining to you, it's not really yours. When you find your style, you'll love it. You'll probably change it over time, too. Mine has, though it's always been 'me.'

The first thing you should probably do is determine what kind of things you like. Then, decide what your personality is and go by that kind of theme.

For example, I like things with patterns and colors and I'm a pretty outgoing person. So when I go shopping, I look for things that bring my features out.

Good luck!

i comprehend what you propose, i imagine you purely prefer to concentration on the kind you want and the pastimes you delight in and then arise with a kind. yet on your case seeing as your friends gown in the route of your pastimes, attempt to get rid of how they placed on there type and then use what's left over to commence your own variety. i do not see you as been irrational, yet i imagine you want to work out that your paintings may not be continuously being compared to theirs it may purely be that you want to be that type of want and that you're feeling human beings decide you as attempting to be them (may that be a truthful element to assert?) if you're nevertheless attempting to make sure out what you want. i'd propose beginning small, perchance even flipping via same paintings books not style yet paintings, to work out the staggering hues and pattens and then flow from there once you've the bottom hues that you want staggering and straightforward shapes on your body something else should be uncomplicated! i quite wish I helped a touch :)
