For best, I am torn between Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. Lincoln saved the union and freed the slaves, and Teddy's record is so multi-faceted including the Panama Canal, establishing the National Parks, and Anti-Trust.
I think the worst might be Grant or Warren G. Harding.
Grant's Administration was the most corrupt in US history and Harding did nothing about the depression.

First of all you have to think on the time period and what was going on during their administration at that time. Abe Lincoln has always been one my favorites because of his ideals and what he had accomplished during the short time he served. Freeing the slaves was a major accomplishment! Of course we ended up having our own Civil War and alot of lives were losts and brothers were fighting against each other but still our Government changed for the better. You had mentioned Grant. All I can remember of him was being an alcoholic. What accomplishments did he ever make? I can't recall...lol I imagine he did something for the greater good but what is my question.Eisenhower was a republican I believe, of course before my time but what I have heard and read he must have been a decent president for his time. There have been so many that it's hard to pick just one except for maybe Lincoln. For the worst republican President that's a hard one and not to be baised about it since I'm a democrat. But if I had to choose one republican President out of so many I would have to choose Nixon as one of my non favorites. He had to be the worst.

Most historians tend to agree that the best Republican President is Abraham Lincoln. The worst will be George W. Bush. If we don't include Bush it might be Warren G. Harding.

Well, it depends if you are a Republican or a Democrat. I know several Republicans who think Reagan was the best. But, personally, I think Lincoln was the best. TR was great, but he was not a true Republican. I think you messed up your dates. Harding was before the Depression.
Dubya is the worst, followed closely by H Dubya.
