Which is the setting of messenger: Forest or Village?

its kinda confusing to me

I don't know why it would be confusing. It's set in the Village. But the main character is a messenger so he travels from the village to other places often by going THROUGH the forest. So a good percentage (last third at least) is set in the Forest as he goes to and from on his errand/task.
