im reposting this in another catagory its about fall out boys song "golden":

what is the golden rule?
in their new cd
there is a song called golden.
i belive the song is about a loss of innocence
and suicide. Maybe it is about losing yourself (and the ones who love you)
in bad things to where you have dug a hole so deep u cant get out of it, and think that the only way out is suicide?
your thoughts please

I don't really think this song is about suicide. But I do get the bit about digging a hole so deep you can't get out - kind of a life lost or a life wasted. The song shows some self-awareness - that mothers raise their children to "stay away from me" - that suggests a kind of hopelessness and a kind of resignation that that's just the way it is. It's sad, but great lyrics. Just my opinion, of course.

Suicide is NEVER and answer, its a quick & bad escape..you gave up. NEVER give up, if you commit suicide you are affecting evevryone around you.
