I got that all the time. It is kind of weird though, answering questions and posting them in your free time and then becoming addicted to it. But many people should understand how helpful and entertaining it is to be here.

Never happened to me, but enjoy this site, and have recommended it to many of my friends and colleagues.
The feedback I have got from them is, hey, what a great site
You can learn from others, and give advice to those who may be in need of help.
You can also answer light hearted questions, and have a laugh with others
It can become addictive, but I limit my answers to where they are most needed, and can give the most help.
Never answer if you are not sure, or give advice on what you do not know about.
I limit my time here on my ability to help others within my Field of knowledge, and when I run out of questions to answer, I sign out.

I agree that Yahoo! answers can be addicting but it is also a great place to enjoy sharing your knowledge to others and learning.

You aren't hanging with the cool crowd if this is a problem for you. My peeps don't have a problem with it at all, even if they don't always understand the driving need to acquire more points.

they usually just look at me like i have two heads, most of them don't even know about yahoo answer, after they say that, its my turn to look at them weirdly, how could you not know about yahoo answer and not be addicted to it.

you are so right! my brother and my girl friend always say this! they drive me crazy. you are also right right in this addiction part, i am addicted to yahoo answers! and it is really fun to be here and you know you just made someone's day is really nice, and also when someone helps you to solve a dilema that faces you. thanks really for mentioning this.
