My friend has a 3 week old and she is very thin when she got pregnant and gained 80lbs and has already lost almost 45 of it. As long as your doctor is not concerned and the baby is healthy then you should be fine. Consider doing some light exercising that can be done sitting down like light stretching and some slight resistance exercising, your doctor should be able to give you a list of baby safe exercises so you feel fit while pregnant. Good Luck!!!

I had four babies, each time I gained more than I did the previous time... I didn't eat any different and in fact sometimes the weight started piling on before I even knew I was pregnant...We are all different and even doctors can make you feel bad about the weight. If I tried to control the weight I would have to diet and I don't know about you but that don't sound right, diet when another human being needed stuff from me to grow.... All my babies were big and healthy. I breast fed and that helped me get back in shape and all my kids have no allergies and good teeth and good jaw formation...meaning no braces.... all are the benefits of breast feeding....Be proud you carry heavy, your babies are warm and well fed and comfortable.....

at the beginning each woman and being pregnant is diverse, so do no longer evaluate your self too lots with different human beings, look on your dr/midwife etc for whether or no longer your weight earnings is acceptable. i began out at 8 a million/2 stone then lost 7lb (right down to eight stone) using ailment by using week 12 and now at 26 weeks I weigh 9 a million/2 stone (i think of even if have not weighed myself in a on an identical time as) so in finished I easily have gained a million stone on pre-being pregnant weight or around a million a million/2 stone on the grounds that week 12! you're able to be waiting to loose the burden after being pregnant, its all approximately protecting a healthy diet and getting exercising, yet supply your self a minimum of 9 months to do it (9 months on 9 months off theory).

I would worry about diabetes or hypertension with that much weight gain, what does your doctor say? If you had a normal pegnancy and delivery with the first and the baby is fine you're probably ok but 80 pounds is alot. I would be sure to ask your doc. Good Luck and congrats on losing all your baby weight, I wasn't quite so lucky...

As long as your doctor says its ok then you shoun;t worry. But if you are very worried about it then talk to him the next time you go in. Make a list of everything that your eating and evaluate it, also have your doctor do a glucose test for diabetes (spelling) my cousin has gestational diabetes with all her 3 children and she gained alot of weight really fast. after birth the diabetes went away.

Maybe you have pregnancy diabetes, talk to your doctor. My aunt had that and gained almost 100 lbs for each of her 4 girls.
