Whenever she needs it. I started wearing a sports bra when i was.. i guess 9? Im now 13.. and so i guess i used a regular slightly padded bra when i was about 11.. and when i was 12 a structured bra...
Basiccly.. you know u need 1 when you can see something or it looks odd when you are just wearing a shirt.

when she needs one AND is ok with the idea of wearing one.
i started when i was 12. i think i'd "needed" one for a year or so, but wasn't really comfortable with the idea yet. i think my sister was the one who finally got me to -- she was like, "why aren't you wearing a bra yet? you should be." lol. so at that point i guess i felt like it'd be weirder NOT to wear one than to wear one. i got one of those sports-type looking ones, so it was a little more like an undershirt than a full-fledged underwire or something..lol. =)

i'm 12/13 and i still wear a long cami/tank top. it depends on the girl. i would say onoce the cami is really not enough, then get her a sports bra...........then eventually anormal one arond the age of 14/15!!!!!!!!!

it pretty much depends on the girls stage.
i say 10-12.
