#1: No, you're very pretty.
#2: You have to be able to understand the male mind... every guy says they want to have a really stunningly beautiful girlfriend, but almost as many are utterly intimidated when they meet one.
May I ask how old you are? Personally I didn't start dating until I was out of high school, I met the love of my life in college and now we're married with two wonderful kids. Sometimes you have to wait for the good things to come along. You're young enough (by the look of your picture) to not be worried about it. Spend some time on you and doing what you want, learning the things you want, because trust me any good relationship is about giving of yourself for someone else. I don't think you need to worry, you have all the rest of your life to give to others, take some time for yourself, enjoy your independance and then when you meet that special someone you'll be a better person and will be able to have a more loving and fulfilling relationship.
Someone once told me that: You have to be happy alone or you'll never be happy with someone else. Good luck!

NO, you're not ugly. Here's a suggestion though. Don't look down, look up, eye level. If you appear too modest, guys will think you are way too shy and won't approach you. Smile. If you see someone you are interested, give a sly smile. Look for colors more flattering to your skin tone than just black. The shirt you were wearing is a little scary. Accentuate your best facial feature. If you love your eyes, accent them a little more and tone down your lips. If you have Angelina Jolie lips, just wear a little mascara and go for full out pout!

You're not ugly, you just need a little "touching up". Try some mascara, blush, and lip gloss. Oh, and don't wear that shirt ever again.
