So, not Out Loud. Just using a different voice for each character when you read something in your mind.
Just wondering.

I do, and I was curious who else did. Is that normal?

yes...of course. i do this all the time when reading books where different characters come into play
means that you have a good imagination.
thats the same like if you are watching a movie...you expect to hear different characters voices as different characters speak.
when reading a book....its the same thing. it helps you get into the book....by getting into character.
so yes, when i read something Sue says...i may hear it in my mind as a high pitched female voice...something Bob says maybe in a low deep male voice.....and something Grandma Betty says may be in a old raspy female voice.
well you get the picture....

Sometimes, and I make up voices in my head for all of the questions I read. I'm sorry, but for some reason this question sounded like Barbie.

All the time. That's why I enjoy reading so much coz imagining each character's individual voices in my head makes it so fun =)

of course!! How else can you read a mystery or even the comics? If everyone had the same voice it would be a monolog. And the voices in my head tell me to do that.
