It's not unheard of to find yourself falling for a guy your close to. But if you have been friends with him for a long time, I suggest you keep it that way. The fact that you hang around him alot is the reason your getting closer to him, that's normal. But if you were to get involved, and it don't work out it's harder to go back to being friends because you crossed over a different line now. So really think about it, is it worth breaking up your friendship. Most people that are friends, that are the opposite sex, know so much about each other, that once they choose to become mates it loses some of it's quality, they don't have the chance to get to know you, because they all ready do. And if he hangs out with other girls, are you willing to except that after you become involved with him. So you see there are things to consider, before you jump ahead and decide to let him know how you feel. If you think you can handle it, go for it and tell him how you feel. But don't be disappointed if he just wants to stay friends, most of the time if a guy is friends with you,and he wants it to be more ,he will usually approach you first, and if he doesn't then most of the time he's fine with the fact that you are friends. And it may be alittle awkward when you hang out, that he decline your offer,so really think it through before you decide . Good luck

Think about if this guy gives you any signals or clues as to whether he might like you back.
Do you spend alot of time just you 2?
Do you sometimes do 'coupley' things?
Make it clear to this guy that your friend just broke up from a relationship, it will just get messy of she gets involved.
You really just need to bite the bullet though - hanging around waiting in the shadows isn't going to do you any favours.
Invite him around, cook a meal for him, do something romantic and see if he gets the hint and reacts well to it.
Or failing that just tell him outright.
All you've got to lsoe if your friendship, and if you don't tell him you will just be constantly wondering 'what if' and get caught up in jealousy when you see him with other girls.

I definitely think you should let him know. But first give him hints. Smile at him in the hallway and flirt. If he doesnt get the message then let him know, but try not to scare him off and dont drop the "L" bomb just yet! Good luck to you!
