I like Cedar Point better, but I'm really excited about the new ride that Kings Island is building! Plus Kings Island is closer to me.

Six Flags Cedar Point is the second best sixflags out there, of course we all know six flags:great adventure is better.
It is a 364 acre (1.5 km²) amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio, USA on a narrow peninsula jutting into Lake Erie. It is one of the world's largest amusement parks (by ride count) with 68 rides including 16 rollercoasters (17 with the addition of Maverick, debuting in May 2007) and has the world's second tallest and second fastest roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster. The park also has a mile-long white sand beach, two water parks (Soak City and Castaway Bay), two marinas, several hotels, and "Challenge Park" featuring attractions such as go-karts and miniature golf. Known as "America's Roller Coast", Cedar Point has been voted "Best Amusement Park in the World" by Amusement Today for the past nine years.
The park opened in 1870 and is the second oldest amusement park in North America after Lake Compounce. Cedar Point is the flagship park for the Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. company and, along with Valleyfair!, was one of the original parks in the company.
Cedar Point's normal operating season runs daily from early May through Labor Day, then for eight weekends following Labor Day. The park is scheduled to open for the 2007 season on Saturday, May 12.
* Chaos -- A Chance-Morgan designed ride, which made its debut in 1997.
* Demon Drop - An Intamin-designed ride installed in 1983. Four riders are loaded into a single car, which is lifted to the top of a 131 foot tower. The car is then slowly propelled over the edge of the tower, before performing a track-guided 60 foot freefall drop. The ride was advertised for sale in 2005. No buyer has been found yet.
* Dodgem - A bumper car hall.
* maXair - A HUSS designed Giant Frisbee, opened in 2005.
* Ocean Motion - A 43 foot long steel and fiberglass HUSS designed Pirate Boat, opened in 1981.
* Power Tower - A combination of two Space Shot and two Turbo Drop tower rides. Opened in 1998 as the tallest drop tower ride in the world. The assembly is 300 feet tall, and was designed by S&S Power.
* Skyhawk - A 40-passenger Screamin' Swing, designed by S&S Power and opened in 2006. Skyhawk is currently the largest swinging thrill ride in the world.
* Snake River Falls - A Shoot-the-Chutes ride designed by Arrow Dynamics and opened in 1993 as the tallest, steepest water ride in the world.
* Thunder Canyon - A River Rapids ride designed by Intamin AG and opened in 1986. Thunder Canyon was the second Intamin AG River Rapids Ride ever built.
* Troika - A HUSS Troika, opened in 1976.
* Witches' Wheel - A HUSS Enterprise opened in 1977.

I have gown up going to King's Island and love going there, but because I've been there so much it gets rather boring to me at times. I have only been to Cedar Point a couple of times but I absolutely love it. I don't know if it's because I haven't been there as much or if it's just that good. I don't know how those that have grown up going to Cedar Point every summer feel about it. But, I think it's a better park. More rides. Hopefully Kings Island will improve - I haven't heard of the new coaster but its about time! If Kings Island is close to you, you may want to consider a season pass. There is one available that will get you into any Cedar Fairs park and you get your moneys worth after about the second time you go. I live 2 hours from King's Island and had one a couple years ago and loved it and now you can get into Cedar Point with it too.

Cedar point is by far the best amusement park in the world. It has the most roller coasters, it has some of the fastest and tallest ones as well. It is relatively cheap, at about 40 bucks (but if you have a pepsi can can save like 10 dollars). Its amazing! they continuously put new rides out.

Cedar Point is building Maverick this year, trust me it will blow King's Island's new coaster away. Kings Island's new coaster is a used ride from Geauga Lake (another Cedar Fair property in Ohio, near Cedar Point), and I rode it last year. It's boring and very uncomfortable. Cedar Point blows Kings Island away in quality rides by far.
Note: Cedar Point is not a Six Flags park, it is owned by Cedar Fair.
